Flaps 20 Sauces & Rubs.
This lineup, sold under the name Flaps 20 Sauces & Rubs, comes from Flaps Up BBQ, a competition team started in Mobile, Alabama in 2018 by pitmaster Travis Patterson. It includes the CPR Sweet Que Rub, an all-purpose blend named for chicken, pork and ribs, an All Purpose Rub, and a Memphis Sweet barbecue sauce. Pinecraft Outdoor Kitchens carries the line for cooks who want competition-tested seasoning.

Who makes Flaps 20 sauces and rubs? Flaps Up BBQ started as a competition barbecue team in Mobile, Alabama in 2018, running the Gulf Coast circuit before the same recipes ended up in bottles and tins on shop shelves. The team is led by pitmaster Travis Patterson, who built the seasonings around what actually placed well on a competition table rather than what tested well in a lab.
CPR in the CPR Sweet Que Rub stands for chicken, pork and ribs, which tells a customer exactly where to start with it. It reads sweet up front with a slow-building heat, which is why it shows up under pulled pork and rib racks as often as it does under a whole chicken. The All Purpose Rub takes a plainer approach, built to season nearly anything on the grill without pushing one flavor note too hard, and the Memphis Sweet barbecue sauce fills the bottled-sauce side of the lineup with the sweeter, thinner style associated with that city's barbecue.
Pinecraft Outdoor Kitchens stocks Flaps 20 sauces and rubs for order for the same reason a lot of small-batch competition brands end up on a specialty shelf instead of a grocery aisle: the recipes were built and tested by someone who cooks in front of judges for a living, not developed for mass appeal. Customers can see the full CPR, All Purpose and Memphis Sweet lineup and ask what is on display before deciding which one fits a given cookout.
Pair any of the three with a new grill or smoker purchase, and if the project includes a built-in kitchen around it, licensed contractors we work with install it once the cooking equipment and seasoning list are finalized.
Rub it the way
a competition team would.
